My research is to use numerical geodynamical models to simulation mantle convection, subduction, mountain building, and tectonics. I also developed next-generation dynamic codes, emphasizing in high-performance parallel and GPU computing.

· Developed a visco-elasto-plastic finite-element code, DynEarthSol3D, for 3-D lithosphere-scale deformation, and used it for modeling ground deformation in SW Taiwan.
· Modeled the evolution of subduction system and found that the slab dips depend on the frictional strength along the subduction interface and on the thickness of overriding lithosphere.
