We are pleased to announce that Dr. Alexandre Canitano, Associate Research Fellow at the IES, has been awarded the 2026 Career Development Award (Academia Sinica) for his research project:
“Fine-grained multidisciplinary analysis of the continuum of fault slip modes during active fault deformation in the Longitudinal Valley (Taiwan)”
The project will be carried out from 2026 to 2030 (Academia Sinica Fiscal Years 115–119).
In addition, IES is currently hosting another Career Development Award project led by Dr. Hsin-Hua Huang: “High-resolution probing of earthquake and landquake slip zone process with fiber-optic sensing: A cross-scale field experiment and viewpoint.”This project has been ongoing from 2022 to 2026 (Academia Sinica Fiscal Years 111–115).
