Faculty Position at Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, National Chung Cheng University

The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan is seeking applications for a faculty position at the assistant professor level (or higher) starting Aug. 1st, 2024.

Requirements:

  • A PhD degree in earth science;
  • The applicant must demonstrate expertise in geophysical exploration, with the following

          fields as a first priority: carbon sequestration, seismic data processing, geothermal
          exploration, and machine learning. 


Position Details:

  • Date of Appointment: August 1st, 2024. 
  • Application Deadline: January 8th, 2024. 

Application Documents: 
Interested candidates are requested to submit the following documents: 

  • Curriculum Vitae. 
  • A copy of the Ph.D. diploma (foreign diplomas must be certified by Taiwan's overseas office posted at the degree-issuing country). 
  • List of publications. 
  • Three to five refereed publications, with one designated as the representative publication. 
  • Teaching plan and research plan. 
  • Three letters of recommendation, including the contact information of the referees. 
  • Two slides summarizing your curriculum vitae, research, and future research and teaching plans, for committee review purposes. 
  • Any additional supporting information. 

Additional Information: 
National Chung Cheng University requires all new faculty members employed after February 1, 2022, to offer at least one course taught in English per academic year.
