The development, maintenance, and inspection of scientific instruments are important links in the process of scientific research. This is true of home-made instruments, and outsourcing instruments also rely on this to improve the proper rate in order to efficiently support scientific research. This is also my main research interest.
My research interest is mainly in the development and calibration of scientific instruments. I have been working in the Institute of Earth Science, Academia Sinica for more than 30 years, from the maintenance and verification of seismic and geomagnetic instruments used on land, to the recent ocean bottom seismographs (OBS), ocean bottom absolute pressure gauges (OBAP), and ocean bottom electromagnetic (OBEM) R & D design. With my professional background in electronic engineering, I develop instruments for earth science research and hope to develop high-precision instruments at a lower cost to provide greater research energy and support for the earth science community.
