MY RESEARCH THEMES COUPLE GEOCHEMISTRY, GEODYNAMICS, AND PETROPHYSICS:
- The feedbacks between deformation and fluids or melts in the mantle (natural systems)
- The deformation of the lithospheric (and sublithospheric) mantle in continental collision zones, rifts, subductions, and
lithospheric-scale shear zones
- Upper mantle deformation and seismic anisotrop
RESEARCH INTEREST
Geodynamic, Structure, composition, and evolution of the continental lithospheric mantle, and
asthenosphere-lithosphere interactions (metasomatism, igneous refertilization, and thermo-chemical
erosion);
Structural geology, Microstructures and crystallographic preferred orientations (CPO) applied to the
subcontinental mantle study, and crust-mantle transition zone;
Distribution of trace elements and PGE in the Earth mantle and simulation of geochemical
fractionation and isotopic decoupling related to magma transport and melt-rock interactions in the
upper mantle;
Relationships between deformations –hydration-melt distribution and implications for strain
localization in mafic and ultramafic rocks (cataclasites, shear zones, mylonites);
Study of peridotite alteration (carbonation and hydration) for geological carbon capture and storage.
