I am currently a post-doc in the Institute of Earth Sciences at Academia Sinica in Taipei, Taiwan. After I got Ph.D. in 2012, I worked in a marine geophysics company in oil and gas industry for 4 years in Houston, TX, USA and London, UK. My research focused on seismic imaging of the mantle transition zone via receiver function analysis. I got involved in several projects with field work, those were in Cascadia, Alaska, and Colorado Rockies. Returning back to academia is quite exciting, cause I like coding and surprise. Together with Dr. Hsin-Hua Huang, we plan to establish the first generation of Taiwan 3-D waveform velocity model via FWI. Meanwhile, we also will re-investigate seismic discontinuities beneath Taiwan Island via receiver function analysis. Besides research, my hobbies are reading, swimming, travel, and museums.Publications
