Biography

As an observational seismologist, my research is focused on seismic imaging of the crustal and upper mantle discontinuities, and water distribution in the mantle transition zone. Together with Dr. Hsin-Hua Huang, we plan to re-investigate seismic discontinuities beneath Taiwan Islands via receiver function analysis. Meanwhile we are trying to study anisotropy in crust and upper mantle beneath the Colorado Rocky Mountains and Taiwan Island. Furthermore, we will study the characterizations of partial melting at the uppermost lower mantle in a global scale.
