We invite applications for a postdoctoral
research fellow position in the Institute of Earth Sciences (IES)
of Academia Sinica.
The area of research is primarily
structural seismology, including numerical modeling of seismic
wave propagation in three-dimensional structure as well as
regional and global seismic tomography.
IES has active and growing research
programs in both observational and computational seismology with
seismic networks, a data center, and a high-performance computer
cluster.
It also has an open and welcoming
environment with permanent and visiting scientists from all over
the world.
The candidate should have a recent Ph.D.
in geophysics, physics, or mathematics with experience in
scientific programming.
The salary and benefits will be based on
Academia Sinica policy and the appointment will be for one year
with a possible extension of up to three years.
